muMV-algebras: An approach to fixed points in Lukasiewicz logic

چکیده

We study an extension of MV algebras, called μMV algebras, in which minimal and maximal fixed points are definable. The first result is that μMV algebras are term-wise equivalent to divisible MV∆algebras, i.e. a combination of two known extensions of MV algebras: divisible MV algebras [4] and MV∆algebras [6]. Using methods from the two known extensions we derive a number of results about μMV algebras; among others: subdirect representation, standard completeness, amalgamation property. Convergence with a Fixed Regulator in Perfect Mv-algebras

MV-algebras were introduced by Chang as an algebraic counterpart of the Lukasiewicz infinite-valued logic. D. Mundici proved that the category of MV-algebras is equivalent to the category of abelian l-groups with strong unit. A. Di Nola and A. Lettieri established a categorical equivalence between the category of perfect MV-algebras and the category of abelian l-groups. In this paper we investi...

Pavelka-style completeness in expansions of Lukasiewicz logic

An algebraic setting for the validity of Pavelka style completeness for some natural expansions of Lukasiewicz logic by new connectives and rational constants is given. This algebraic approach is based on the fact that the standard MV-algebra on the real segment [0, 1] is an injective MV-algebra. In particular the logics associated with MV-algebras with product and with divisible MV-algebras ar...

n×m−valued Lukasiewicz-Moisil algebras with two modal operators

In 2000, Figallo and Sanza introduced the n×m−valued Lukasiewicz-Moisil algebras, which are a particular case of Matrix Lukasiewicz algebras, and a nontrivial generalization of n−valued Lukasiewicz-Moisil algebras. Here we start a research on the class of n × m−valued Lukasiewicz-Moisil algebras endowed with two modal operators (or 2mLMn×m−algebras). These algebras constitute a common generaliz...

ON ($epsilon, epsilon vee q$)-FUZZY IDEALS OF BCI-ALGEBRAS

The aim of this paper is to introduce the notions of ($epsilon, epsilon vee q$)-fuzzy p-ideals, ($epsilon, epsilon vee q$)-fuzzy q-ideals and ($epsilon, epsilon vee q$)-fuzzy a-ideals in BCIalgebras and to investigate some of their properties. Several characterizationtheorems for these generalized fuzzy ideals are proved and the relationshipamong these generalized fuzzy ideals of BCI-algebras i...

Discretization by adjoint pairs: Lukasiewicz and Q-module transforms

We define the Lukasiewicz Transform as a residuated map and a homomorphism between semimodules over the semiring reducts of an MV-algebra. Then we describe the “ Lukasiewicz Transform Based” ( LTB) algorithm for image processing. We also propose a strong extension of such concepts and results in the framework of quantales and quantale modules. 1 The Lukasiewicz transform and its applications Th...
